In Covenant Kids, our heartbeat is to help kids know, love and follow Jesus. We strive to engage children, ages birth-5th grade, in age-appropriate activities that help them learn about the person of Jesus Christ in exciting and lasting ways.
Your child's safety and positive experience is important to us, which is why we have several measures in place to ensure your little one has the best time possible while in our care! Our staff and volunteers love working with children and have been screened and trained to care for your child. We also use a nametag security check-in/check-out process that helps us to better protect your child while they attend our gatherings. Our gatherings are intentionally created to help your child have fun learning about Jesus and how much He loves them. We currently use Gospel Project curriculum, which uses both hands-on and media-driven material to teach the gospel.
"We're New!" How do I get my child involved?
When you visit, you will see our Check-in center upon entering our main doors. There you will be greeted by one of our volunteers and led through our registration and check-in process. If desired, you will then be shown to our Nursery, Toddler Class or instructed on how our Kids Worship gathering works. At any time, if you have any questions Kids Ministry related, just look for someone in our bright orange Covenant Kids t-shirts (you can't miss us!).
Covenant Kids Gatherings on Sunday Mornings
We have several ways for your child to take part on Sunday mornings.
Nursery
For children ages birth-2yrs old, we have our Nursery. Located on our lower level, we open our Nursery starting at 10:15 on Sunday mornings and keep it running until after the main service. Cheerios are available for older infants, upon parent's consent. Your child must have a security tag upon entering the classroom, which can be printed at our Check-in center, located in the main foyer. You must present your matching parent tag (given at the time of check-in) in order to pick up your child.
Toddler Class
For children ages 3yrs-PreK, we have our Toddler Class. A step up from Nursery, our toddlers will start to engage in teaching about Jesus while still having plenty of time to play and explore. Snacks will be provided, with allergy-friendly options available. Located on our lower level, we open our Toddler Class starting at 10:15 on Sunday mornings and keep it running until after the main service. Your child must have a security tag upon entering the classroom, which can be printed at our Check-in center, located in the main foyer. You must present your matching parent tag (given at the time of check-in) in order to pick up your child.
Kids Worship
For children ages K-5th grade, we have Kids Worship. Taking place during our main service, on the lower level, your child will be dismissed from the stage from the main service. During their time in Kids Worship, your child will engage in excited Bible teaching and hands-on activities before being released back into the main service, to you, before it concludes. Snacks will be provided with allergy-friendly options available. Your child must have a security tag before being dismissed for Kids Worship from the main service, which can be printed at our Check-in center prior to service, located in the main foyer. If you wish to pick your child up early from Kids Worship, you must present your matching parent tag (given at the time of check-in). Please note: the last Sunday of every month, there will be no Kids Worship. Instead, children (other than Nursery-aged) will be able to participate in the activities listed in the section below, entitled, "In-service Options."
In-service Options
In addition to our Nursery and Kids Worship gatherings, we have another option if you'd like to keep your child with you in the main service. For children 3yr-5th grade, we have activity bags ready for your child to grab and use during the service. These are located to the left of the stage in our overflow area.
Covenant Kids Gatherings Throughout the Week
Looking for something for your child outside of Sunday Mornings? We have that too! Once a month from October-April, on the fourth Satruday, we have Kidz Blast from 9-11 AM. Kidz Blast is a FREE program for children, ages 4yrs-5th grade, where your child will experience a theme-based morning of fun that includes varied activities (based on a changing theme each month), a time of worship through song and an engaging time of Bible teaching.
